Intensive Online Teacher Training at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences

The Online Intensive Training aims at presenting our EETC project team competence and XAMK team competence in relation to entrepreneurship and innovation RDI, teaching and learning. In particular, the training will focus on the currently prepared Transdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Training Methodology (TETM) Handbook and its future integration in the pedagogical practices of the EETC partner universities.



Research on Transdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Training

The project “European Entrepreneurship Training Community” (Reference No. 2018-1-LV01-KA203-046974) presents its Research on Transdisciplinary  Entrepreneurship Training, which is a unique collection and analysis of entrepreneurship training activities and competences among start-up entrepreneurs. It also addresses challenges and activities in achieving sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystems in Finland, Latvia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, as well as developments of entrepreneurship competences worldwide since 2016. This Research provides a foundation for Transdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Training Methodology that is being developed by Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and will be tested during the project in four higher education institutions: Riga Technical University (Latvia), Anglia Ruskin University (the United Kingdom), South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands).

Project partners' meeting in Riga

The second partners' meeting was organized at Riga Technical University  in Riga on 17 January 2020. The project partners' meeting was aimed to  discuss the progress on the Entrepreneurship Training Methodology, to finalize the Research on Entrepreneurship Training Methodology in the  countries of the  Consortium, to discuss untapped research areas that could be valuable to understand the  impact of the project on entrepreneurship training in  higher education institutions and reach the scientific audience with scientific articles in international and well-reputable databases, and to establish areas of interest and value in the next short-term joint staff training event, where the main participants will be lecturers who will implement the Methodology in their study courses in the following autumn and spring  semesters.

The Joint staff training event took place in April 2019 with the aim to discuss the progress of the project and exchange experience among educators from the consortium.

Kickoff meeting in Riga

The partners of the project finally got to meet each other face-to-face during the Kickoff meeting in Riga. The priorities of the project were discussed, the project methodology and quality assurance tools were approved, and the deadlines for the nearest activities were set.
